Conservation treatments and condition reports

As a Fine Arts Conservator licensed by the Italian Ministry of Culture, I can deal with restorations of modern and contemporary works of art, defining among other things the state of conservation and implementing a complex of direct and indirect actions to limit the processes of degradation of the constituent materials of the assets and ensure their preservation, safeguarding their cultural and economic value, drawing up the relevant reports on the conservative state of the restored works or assets that simply need this data sheet.

Major conservation treatments:

  • Assistant conservator for some oil paintings by Giorgio Vasari (painter and historian of the Florentine Renaissance), now on display at the Capodimonte Museum.

  • Preparation of the large canvas “La Breccia di Porta Pia” (The Breach of Porta Pia) by Michele Cammarano, property of the Capodimonte Museum, for loan to the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, which took place between spring and summer 2011.

  • Preparation of two large religious-themed canvases by Francesco Di Maria for the major exhibition “Barocco,” Museo di San Martino and Palazzo Reale in Naples, which took place between the spring and summer of 2010.

  • Among the most important artists whose works I restored are: Orazio Gentileschi, Artemisia Gentileschi, Mattia Preti, Guido Reni, Francisco Goya, Luca Giordano, Salvator Rosa, Massimo Stanzione, José de Ribera, Andrea Vaccaro, Titian, Mimmo Paladino and Andy Warhol.
