Metafuturism

Metafuturism has its origins in a fateful encounter with the Turin-based Story Art Designer Marzia Boaglio (www.marziaboaglio.it). Fascinated by an aesthetic visually steeped in Futurist dynamism, yet animated by a diametrically opposed ethical and value-based polarity, I embarked with the artist on a journey of conceptual development that culminated in the drafting of the Manifesto.

I am responsible for the theoretical and philosophical formulation of the concept, whilst Marzia is the creator of the Manifesto of Metafuturist Art, sealed by our joint signature on 28 June 2023 at her studio in Turin. Her stylistic signature – a rare synthesis of form, beauty and technical rigour – is not limited to a mere nostalgic evocation of the twentieth-century avant-garde movements, but rather transcends them definitively. By transfiguring the excitement of speed into a striving towards the Beyond, Marzia Boaglio’s work elevates movement to a contemplative and eternal dimension.
